Lesson Cancellation & Attendance Policy

Need to Cancel? Consider Going Virtual!
If you’re unable to attend in person, you’re encouraged to attend your lesson virtually. Simply text (984) 600-5256 at least 30 minutes before your scheduled time to request a Zoom link.

Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel a lesson. This is a thoughtful courtesy to your teacher and helps us manage scheduling smoothly. You should cancel directly on the calendar, which ensures your teacher is notified right away.

  • Please do not rely on texts, emails, or verbal messages alone to cancel lessons; using the calendar keeps everything organized and ensures your cancellation is confirmed

When a student is absent, we provide a personalized video lesson so they can continue making progress during missed weeks. These lessons include valuable instruction such as:

  • Music listening and guided worksheets

  • Ear training

  • Music theory

  • Music history

Each video is designed to reinforce and expand on what students are learning in their regular lessons. It's all part of our studio philosophy—developing well-rounded, thoughtful musicians with a deep understanding of music.

  • No-shows or cancellations without proper notice will result in the loss of that lesson time.

  • We do not offer in-person makeup lessons, credits, or refunds for missed lessons.

Attendance Expectations
Consistent attendance is essential for musical progress. Frequent absences or cancellations may result in dismissal from the studio without refund.

If the Teacher Is Absent
In the event your teacher needs to be out, your lesson will be taught by a substitute instructor. If one cannot be found in time, the lesson will be rescheduled in person at a mutually convenient day and time.

Withdrawal from the School

Students may withdraw from the studio at any time. Please note that a break of one month or longer will be considered a formal withdrawal.

  • No refunds will be issued for students who withdraw mid-month.

  • Students who choose to re-enroll at a later date are not guaranteed their previous lesson time or day and will be required to pay the registration fee upon returning.

Drop Off / Pick Up

Parents are welcome to drop off students or stay and wait in our indoor waiting area during lessons at either location.
An outdoor play area is also available at the Cottage location for siblings to enjoy. For safety, we kindly ask that children are supervised at all times, whether in the waiting area or outside.

Inclement Weather

Lessons are held year round according to the calendar. If you do not feel comfortable attending in-person, you can request to hold the lesson virtually.
