What to Expect

Your student will receive engaging, creative lessons with a tailored curriculum that provides solid technique skills and complete musical training.

  • Students are taught all aspects of musicianship: rhythmic sensibility, body balance, hand position, finger strength, reading skills, performing skills, aural/pitch development, and kinesthetic awareness.

  • They receive weekly lesson notes that include a Daily Practice Guide - this is specific to their musical progress and includes technical studies, repertoire, creative practice, and weekly goals for them to work toward.

Missed Lessons

Studio membership means the student commits to a lesson time that is exclusively reserved for them and it’s expected they will attend all scheduled lessons. However, sometimes events or illness will arise and lessons are missed.

  • Before you cancel, consider having the lesson virtually - text (984) 600-5256 for the zoom link at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled lesson time.

  • Please cancel lessons up to four (4) hours before the scheduled lesson time as a courtesy to your teacher. Log onto your account, select the lesson date from the calendar, and follow link to cancel. If a lesson is missed without giving notice by the required time or student is a no show/no notice, the student accepts the missed lesson as a loss of instruction time.

  • Video lessons are sent when a student is absent - this way the student can continue progress on missed lesson weeks. Video lessons include valuable instruction such as music listening & guided worksheets, ear training, theory, and music history – all of these build upon what students are learning and are an important part of the studio philosophy of creating well rounded musicians.

  • In-person makeup lessons will be at the discretion of the administration, are not guaranteed, and should not be expected.

  • Persistent absences or cancellations will lead to a termination of lessons and dismissal from the studio, without refund.

  • Should the teacher need to cancel, lessons will be made up in person and moved to another day/time that mutually suits both student and teacher.

Inclement Weather

Lessons are held year round according to the calendar. If you do not feel comfortable attending in-person, the lesson will be held virtually.

Drop Off / Pick Up

Parents may drop off their students or park and come inside to our waiting area while students are in lessons. There is also play area outside for siblings; we ask that you supervise your child(ren) at all times when they are outside or in the waiting area.

Withdrawal from the Studio

Students may depart at any time; a break of one month or more will be considered a withdrawal.

  • No refunds are given for students who leave mid-month.

  • Students who re-enroll at a later time are not guaranteed their previous lesson time/day and will be charged the registration fee upon re-enrollment.
